A video released by Indian news agency PTI shows the wreckage of destroyed aircraft scattered on the ground

An Indian Air Force "Pilatus PC-7" trainer aircraft crashed in the Chengalpattu district near Chennai.
According to Indian media, the incident occurred during a routine training flight, but the pilot managed to eject safely from the aircraft in time.
A video released by the Indian news agency PTI shows the wreckage of the destroyed aircraft scattered on the ground.
Later, the Indian Air Force confirmed the incident and announced that an investigation had been ordered. There were no reports of any casualties or financial losses from the crash.
In its statement, the Indian Air Force said the PC-7 Mark II trainer aircraft crashed around noon today during a routine training flight near Tambaram, Chennai.
The statement further added that the pilot ejected safely and no civilian property was damaged. A Court of Inquiry has been set up to determine the cause of the crash.
