Peshawar: An explosion have been heard in Peshawar’s Hayatabad on Friday.

As per initial reports, a policeman was killed and a passerby sustained injuries after a hand grenade was thrown at a police mobile.
Officials said that the police van was in Hayatabad when someone threw a hand grenade on it and fled the scene.
The blast took place in a residential area. The explosion reportedly damaged nearby houses and buildings, shattering glass of windows.
The sound of the blast was so loud that it was heard in faraway areas.
However, the nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet and the area has been cordoned off for further investigation.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information to carry out the rescue operation.
