Participating in senate elections to thwart govt conspiracy, says Ahsan Iqbal
Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader, Ahsan Iqbal has said that opposition is participating in senate elections to thwart government’s conspiracy against Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

While talking to media on Wednesday, the PML-N leader said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will get 2/3 majority in case of opposition backing out from elections.
“We do not want to leave the ground empty. We will fight against this oppressive regime till the end,” he said.
The former interior minister said that Pakistan is suffering immensely due to an incompetence government.
“Wherever you see, there is a disaster. This government has destroyed higher education system in the country. There is unemployment and inflation everywhere,” he said.
Criticizing PTI over no progress on development projects, Ahsan Iqbal said that ML-1 Project worth 8 billion dollars has not even been initiated as yet.
“PML-N constructed 2000 kilometers motorway and initiated China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) during its tenure. PTI has taken more loan in two and half years than we took in five years,” he said.
Referring to his case, the PML-N leader said that the purpose of initiating a reference against opposition leaders is their character assassination.
“National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is active only when it comes to opposition,” he added.
