Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the remarkable women of Pakistan on the occasion of International Women's Day.


Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their commitment to ensuring a supportive environment for empowering women.
According to details, in their separate messages on the occasion of International Women’s Day, observed today (Sunday), they paid tribute to women, mothers, sisters, and daughters in Pakistan and around the world.
The President said that the government is working to expand women’s access to education and healthcare, strengthen economic opportunities, eliminate violence, and improve their safety.
He added that women’s representation in Parliament and provincial assemblies has been ensured through constitutional provisions.
Menawhile, in a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said the empowerment of women remains central to the government's vision for Pakistan's development.

In his statement, the Prime Minister emphasized that the overall development and prosperity of the nation can only be achieved through equal opportunities for women and their meaningful participation.

Women hold a key position not only in families but also in building a society and nation based on positive values. From education to sports and from homes to government institutions, the resilience and achievements of Pakistani women are playing a revolutionary role in building a strong and prosperous country.
