Prime Minister forms committee to review Provisions of telecommunication organization bill
Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has constituted a committee to review the provisions of the Telecommunication Organization (Amendment) Bill.

According to details, the committee will be headed by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar. Its members include Senator Sherry Rehman, Federal Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Attorney General Mansoor Usman Awan, and other experts from the legal and IT sectors.

The committee has been formed following concerns raised regarding certain clauses of the bill.

It will review matters related to the establishment of telecommunication infrastructure and right-of-way issues concerning privately owned land and housing societies, and will submit its recommendations accordingly.

The Prime Minister has directed the committee to complete its review of the bill and present its suggestions promptly.
