Rawalpindi: Pakistan clinched the final One-Day International against Sri Lanka by 6 wickets to seal a 3–0 series whitewash.
Chasing a target of 212, Pakistan had a shaky start as Haseebullah Khan was dismissed for a duck with the team total at just 8. However, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam steadied the innings with a solid 74-run partnership.
Pakistan lost their second wicket at 82 when Fakhar Zaman fell after scoring 55 runs, which included eight fours. Babar Azam followed soon after, dismissed for 34. Agha Salman also departed early, scoring only 6 runs with the team total at 115.
For Pakistan, Fakhar Zaman scored 55, Babar Azam 34, while Mohammad Rizwan (61*) and Hussain Talat (42*) guided the team home with an unbeaten partnership, ensuring a comfortable victory.
Earlier, Sri Lanka were bowled out for 211 in the 46th over. Sadeera Samarawickrama top-scored with 48, Kusal Mendis made 34, Kamal Mishara contributed 29, and Pawan Rathnayake added 32 runs.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim Jr. claimed 3 wickets, while Haris Rauf and Faisal Akram took 2 wickets each.
Pakistan made four changes for the Rawalpindi match, bringing in Faisal Akram, Shaheen Afridi, Faheem Ashraf, and Haseebullah. Sri Lanka were also forced into four changes, with Kusal Mendis leading the side in place of the unwell Charith Asalanka.
