People on board the truck were migrating to warmer areas before the onset of winter


Malakand: 15 people were killed and 8 were injured when a truck overturned on the Swat Motorway in Malakand.
According to DSP Motorway Police Noor-ul-Amin, the accident occurred due to high speed. The truck overturned and fell into a ditch hundreds of feet deep.
After receiving the information, a large number of police personnel and rescue teams, in addition to local people, also reached the spot.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were immediately shifted to Batkhela Hospital.
Noor-ul-Amin further said that all the people on board the truck were nomads who belonged to the Bahrain area of Swat. The condition of several of the injured is said to be critical. The people on board the truck were migrating to warmer areas before the onset of winter.
DSP Motorway Police said that further investigation into the accident has been started.
