Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan set 172 target for India

(Web Desk): Pakistan set a 172-run target against India in the T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium here on Sunday.

The first innings, which saw several dropped catches,an  unusual run out and a controversial third umpire decision, came to an end with the Green Shirts setting a decent total against their archrivals.

At 10 overs, Pakistan were dominant with 91 runs and nine wickets in hand, after Fakhar Zaman (15 off 9) was given caught behind on Hardik Pandya’s ball, which many deemed as a controversial decision.

In the second match of the Asia Cup T20 Super Four stage, India won the toss against Pakistan and chose to field first.

The high-voltage Pakistan vs India clash is taking place today at the Dubai International Stadium, with Andy Pycroft serving as the match referee.

Tensions between the two nations have further escalated due to a handshake controversy and a political statement made by Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav after the previous match.

It is worth mentioning that in the group stage match, India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets.
