Three transgender individuals found dead in Karachi

(Web Desk): Rescue officials have reported that the bodies of three transgender individuals were discovered near Memon Goth, alongside the M-9 Motorway in Karachi.

According to police authorities, all three victims were shot dead. They sustained gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and arms.

Officials believe that the victims were likely standing by the roadside, possibly seeking a ride, when they were shot. The attacker opened fire and fled the scene.

Police recovered two bullet casings from the crime scene. The identification process of the bodies is currently underway. Investigations have begun, and officials say more evidence will be available following the post-mortem examinations. The crime scene is located in a deserted area, and all aspects of the incident are being examined.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh to ensure the immediate arrest of the culprits.

A spokesperson for the Chief Minister said Murad Ali Shah emphasized that the killers of the transgender individuals must be arrested at all costs, and a report should be submitted. He added that the transgender community is a vulnerable segment of society that must be treated with dignity and respect, and the state will not tolerate the murder of any innocent citizen.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Zia Lanjar has directed the SSP Malir to provide preliminary details of the incident. He also instructed that the forensic investigation be conducted using modern and advanced techniques, and that intelligence sources should be used to ensure the arrest of those involved.
