Land dispute turns deadly: Four, including two brothers, shot dead in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: As a result of firing over land disputes and other opposition, four people, including two brothers, were killed.

The incident took place on Bhon Road within the jurisdiction of Kahuta Police Station in the twin city of the federal capital, Rawalpindi, where four people, including two blood brothers, were shot dead.

According to the police, the victims have been identified as Junaid Gul, Mateen Kayani, Shoaib, and Samar Iqbal, with Samar Iqbal and Junaid Iqbal being brothers.

All four were traveling together in one vehicle when suddenly opponents, including Bahadur and others, opened indiscriminate fire on them, resulting in all four dying on the spot.

Upon receiving the report, SP Saddar Rawalpindi Nabeel Khokhar arrived at the scene with a police team and collected forensic evidence from the site. He stated that the parties had longstanding land disputes connected to the Sahala area of Islamabad.

According to Nabeel Khokhar, the individuals involved in this murder case from both groups were already wanted by Rawalpindi and Islamabad police in serious criminal cases.

The police have gathered all necessary evidence from the scene, registered a case, and started the investigation. Teams have been formed to arrest the suspects.

Meanwhile, the IG Punjab has taken notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Rawalpindi RPO. He instructed that all suspects involved in this brutal incident be arrested immediately and that all resources be deployed to apprehend them.
