Lahore: University of Lahore has expelled a couple after a video of them proposing to each other went viral on social media.

In the short clip, a student, Hadiqa Javaid, can be seen pulling a role reversal and proposing to Sheharyar Ahmed with a rose in her hand. On Friday, the University took notice of the action, culminating in the Special Disciplinary Committee expelled both the students from the institute.
The notification issued by the university has divided social media, with some praising the action and others condemning it for excessive strictness.
