Pakistan is in the global spotlight in the context of the Islamabad peace talks.

Amid this significant diplomatic development, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a series of telephone calls from prominent world leaders.

The Prime Minister was contacted by the Amir of Qatar, the King of Bahrain, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, the Chancellor of Austria, the Chancellor of Germany, and the Prime Minister of Italy.

During these conversations, global leaders extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Pakistan's successful diplomatic efforts.

Pakistan's diplomatic efforts played a pivotal role in securing a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, effectively paving the way for negotiations between the two parties.

Pakistan to issue visas on arrival ahead of Islamabad Talks
 
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has welcomed all delegates including journalists from participating nations, travelling in relation to Islamabad Talks 2026.

In a post on his X handle, he said all airlines are requested to permit boarding to all such individuals without Visa. He said immigration authorities in Pakistan will issue them Visa on Arrival.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi says Pakistan has extended visa-free travel to delegates and journalists from participating nations of Islamabad Talks 2026 that is Iran and the United States.

On media queries regarding Pakistan's decision to allow visa-free travel for Islamabad Talks 2026, he said this facility, extended for the duration of the talks, does not cover third-country nationals.
