Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating dialogue between the parties to reach a sustainable and long-term resolution of the conflict:Dar


Islamabad: A United States delegation led by Vice President JD Vance has arrived in Islamabad to participate in peace talks with Iran being hosted and mediated by Pakistan. The delegation was warmly received at the airport by Field Marshal Asim Munir and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the US delegation includes Vice President JD Vance, Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi received the delegation, while US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker was also present.
Welcoming the delegation, Ishaq Dar appreciated US efforts for achieving lasting regional and global peace and stability. He expressed hope that all parties would participate in the talks in a constructive manner.
The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitating dialogue between the parties to reach a sustainable and long-term resolution of the conflict.

Earlier, the aircraft carrying Vice President JD Vance had made a stopover in Paris, where it was refueled before continuing its journey to Islamabad.
Meanwhile, an Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has also arrived in Islamabad for the talks. The delegation includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, the Secretary of the Defence Council, the Governor of the Central Bank, and other parliamentary members.
Speaking on the occasion, Ghalibaf stated that Iran is ready to reach an agreement if the United States presents a genuine deal. He noted that previous negotiations had seen broken promises but added that Iran has come with optimism. He emphasized that if the US recognizes Iran’s rights, an agreement can be achieved.
