African nationals linked to Pinky’s drug network, her own brand name will be her downfall: Karachi police chief

Karachi: Azad Khan, the Karachi police chief, said that investigators recovered 869 contact numbers from the mobile phone of alleged drug dealer Anmol alias Pinky, including 132 numbers linked to Karachi.

Speaking at a press conference in Karachi, Azad Khan described the Pinky case as a “test case” for the police, vowing to take it to its logical conclusion. “You will see that Pinky’s own brand name will ultimately become her downfall,” he remarked.

He added that the investigation is not limited to Karachi alone. Police have arrested several individuals who allegedly purchased drugs from the suspect and sold them onward, while facilitators connected to the network are also being detained.

Authorities also raided Pinky’s former residence in Sachal, where additional narcotics were recovered. According to police, the drugs were being smuggled into the country from abroad.

Azad Khan further revealed that investigators have obtained details of the suspect’s bank accounts, which reportedly show transactions worth Rs300 million. He claimed that African nationals were also linked to the network and said the suspect had been staying in Punjab.

The Karachi police chief added that the FIA and cybercrime authorities have been brought into the investigation, which is now being pursued on a large scale. He reiterated that action would be taken against every individual found involved in the network.
