Pakistani minority community call on UN to address atrocities in India, IIOJK
No religion permits terrorism and alleged that India baselessly linked the Pahalgam incident to Pakistan:Kheal Das

Lahore: Punjab’s Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora stated that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi used the Pahalgam incident as a pretext to launch a crackdown against minorities, alleging that religious places and civilians were targeted in India.
According to details, while addressing a press conference in Lahore regarding the alleged “Pahalgam false flag” incident and the treatment of minorities in India, Ramesh Singh Arora said that Pakistan desires peace.
He further claimed that India attempted aggression against Pakistan under the cover of the so-called Pahalgam false flag operation, and that the Modi government used the incident as an excuse to suppress minority communities.
The provincial minister said that violence against minorities in India is not a new phenomenon. He added that the Pahalgam false flag incident has instead brought respect to Pakistan, while India is facing diplomatic isolation globally. He also stated that India’s so-called secular image has been exposed before the world. He highlighted that Pakistan set a positive example by opening the Kartarpur Corridor, whereas Christians in India were allegedly not allowed to celebrate Christmas freely.
During the press conference, Arora said that Muslims in India are frequently subjected to violence under various pretexts. He emphasized that there is no comparison between Pakistan and India regarding minority rights, adding that all citizens in Pakistan enjoy religious freedom, equal rights, and full state protection without discrimination.
He further said that Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, and Muslims in Pakistan live together with peace and mutual respect, while accusing India of having “blood of minorities on its hands.”
Calling on the international community, he urged immediate notice of alleged atrocities against minorities in India and demanded enforcement of global principles of human rights, religious freedom, and justice. He claimed that places of worship in India are not safe and that millions of Kashmiris are being targeted.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Kheal Das Kohistani said that no religion permits terrorism and alleged that India baselessly linked the Pahalgam incident to Pakistan.
He added that people of all religions in Pakistan celebrate their festivals together, while claiming that Indian-administered Kashmir has been turned into a “detention center,” and that the Modi government is using state machinery against minorities.
Member of the National Peace Committee Rajesh Kumar Har Dasani stated that Modi has damaged the identity of Hinduism for political purposes and attempted to create divisions between Hindus and Muslims. He added that Modi’s negative politics has tarnished India’s secular image, while minorities in Pakistan enjoy full rights.
At the same event, Bishop Nadeem Kamran said that Pakistan has exemplary interfaith harmony and that places of worship for minorities are safe in the country.
A documentary highlighting alleged atrocities against minorities in India was also presented during the press conference. The film showcased claims of mistreatment of minorities in India, while also highlighting the freedoms and protections enjoyed by minority communities in Pakistan.
