According to ISPR, in a swift humanitarian operation, the Pakistan Navy conducted the rescue operation, following a distress call from Merchant Vessel GOLD AUTUMN at 200 nautical miles off Pakistan's coast


The Pakistan Navy has successfully rescued and evacuated 18 crew members, including nationals from China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia, in the North Arabian Sea.
According to ISPR, in a swift humanitarian operation, the Pakistan Navy conducted the rescue operation, following a distress call from Merchant Vessel GOLD AUTUMN at 200 nautical miles off Pakistan's coast.
PNS HUNAIN conducted a search and rescue operation with high professionalism and expertise. The ship's team of specialists provided medical aid, assisted in firefighting, carried out damage assessment, and successfully rescued the crew. The evacuated crew was safely transported to Karachi for medical care and repatriation to their respective countries.
Humanitarian assistance rendered by Pakistan Navy Ship at extended ranges off Pakistan's coast reflects Pakistan Navy's continued resolve and commitment for always being the first responder to maritime crisis situations in respective area of responsibility.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended the Pakistan Navy for successfully rescuing 18 crew members of different nationalities during an emergency humanitarian operation in the North Arabian Sea.
In a statement today, he lauded the professionalism, swift response and humanitarian spirit demonstrated by the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Navy.
The Prime Minister said upon receiving a distress call from the merchant vessel "Gold Autumn," the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Hunain carried out an immediate and effective search and rescue operation.
He noted that the operation resulted in the safe evacuation of crew members belonging to various countries, including China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
Shehbaz Sharif further said all rescued individuals have been shifted to Karachi, where they are being provided medical facilities, while arrangements are also being made for their safe return to their respective countries.
He emphasized that the Pakistan Navy would continue to play its role as a first responder in all kinds of maritime emergencies within its area of responsibility.
