Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus amid threat of highly contagious Indian delta variant.


According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,619 cases of coronavirus were reported while 79 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,266.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,089,913.
As many as 979,411 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,656 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 369,358 in the province with 11,307 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 407,829 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,355.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 150,708 in the province with 4,624 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,396 confirmed cases while 332 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 28,654 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 660. On the other hand, there are 9,137 cases in GB with 161 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 92,768 cases in the capital city while 827 people have lost their lives.
