Rawalapindi: Pakistan Army is continuing operations to protect the border fence and prevent infiltration attempts into Pakistan.
According to security sources, Pakistan Army foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of three to four Khwarij in the border area adjacent to the Chaman sector on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The Army effectively targeted the Khwarij attempting to cut the fence.
During the timely operation, an exchange of fire resulted in killing one terrorist while the others fled in a wounded state.
The security sources said four to five improvised explosive devices and fence cutting equipment were also recovered from the terrorists.
