DI Khan: 5 terrorists who attacked police training school killed, 7 cops martyred in encounter
Law and order situation in the area is completely under control.


DI Khan: Five terrorists who attacked a police training school in Dera Ismail Khan were killed, while seven police personnel were also martyred in the encounter.
DSP Hafiz Muhammad Adnan said that the operation at the police training school was completed late at night, in which police and security forces participated.
The DSP said that 7 personnel were martyred in the attack while 5 terrorists, including a suicide bomber, were killed.
The hospital director said that 13 injured personnel were brought to the DHQ Trauma Center.
DG Public Relations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that 200 police personnel and recruits were rescued at the time of the attack. The training school and NADRA office were cleared in the operation.
It is pertinent to note that terrorists carried out a suicide attack on the Police Training School DI Khan at around 8:30pm last night.
Immediately after the incident, the area was cordoned off, and a search operation was launched to trace the presence of any possible facilitators or more terrorists.
The DPO said that a large quantity of weapons, ammunition, and hand grenades have been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists. Security forces have declared the training center and surrounding areas clear.
According to police officials, the law and order situation in the area is completely under control. Senior officials have appreciated the timely action of the police.
