Victory of this historic battle still refreshes the spirit of soldiers to defend homeland


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to the soldiers, officers, and personnel of the Pakistan Navy on the occasion of Navy Day, saying that the professional services of the Pakistan Navy have always made the nation proud.
The Prime Minister said that this day is to reaffirm the protection of the country's water borders and water interests.
Describing the history of the Pakistan Navy as full of stories of bravery, he called Operation Somnath in the 1965 war as memorable, in which the Pakistan Navy attacked the Indian coastal city of Dwarka and destroyed the communication system. The victory of this historic battle still refreshes the spirit of the soldiers to defend the homeland.
Shehbaz Sharif said that the security of Pakistan's water borders is under the vigilant supervision of the Pakistan Navy which plays a key role in maintaining the balance of power in the Arabian Sea. He said that the Pakistan Navy has given practical proof of its readiness and determination in the right battle. The Pakistan Navy is actively playing a role in the construction and development of blue economy and ports.
The Prime Minister stated that the Pakistan Navy is the protector of the country and the architect of our bright future. Today, on Navy Day, we salute the past and present heroes of the Pakistan Navy.
He prayed that Allah may grant progress, prosperity, and success to the Pakistan Navy, the armed forces and Pakistan.
