1,044 have been injured in the country so far


Islamabad: The death toll in Pakistan due to torrential rains, floods, and landslides has crossed 900.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released data on the loss of life and property due to rains and floods, according to which 907 people have died and 1,044 have been injured in the country so far.
According to the data, 223 people have died and 654 have been injured due to rains in Punjab, while 502 have died and 218 have been injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Sutlej River has overflowed, water has entered settlements due to the breach of the Zamindar Dam, and many houses have collapsed.
According to the NDMA data, 58 people have died and 78 have been injured due to rains in Sindh, while 26 have died and five have been injured in Balochistan.
41 people have died and 52 have been injured due to rains in Gilgit-Baltistan, while 38 have lost their lives in Azad Kashmir and nine people have lost their lives in Islamabad.
According to the NDMA, 7,848 houses have been damaged so far due to rains and floods, while 6,180 livestock have also been killed so far.
