(Web Desk): TikToker Sana Yousuf, a native of Upper Chitral, was shot dead on Monday in Islamabad’s G-13/1 area within the Sumbal police jurisdiction.
According to police reports, unidentified assailants broke into her home and opened fire, killing her on the spot before fleeing the scene. Authorities arrived promptly, took custody of her body, and transferred it to a hospital for postmortem examination.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear, and police are investigating all possible angles, including the potential of an honour-based crime.
The incident has drawn comparisons to a similar case from January, when Anwar ul-Haq, a US citizen who had recently relocated to Quetta, confessed to murdering his teenage daughter Hira over her TikTok activity. Initially blaming unknown attackers, he later admitted to the crime, calling her social media posts “objectionable.”
