Ttraffic flow is affected on national highways due to low visibility, causing passengers difficulty


Lahore: Various cities of the country including Punjab were engulfed in fog, and motorways were closed at several places due to low visibility.
According to a spokesperson of the Motorway Police, due to fog, Motorway M2 from Lahore to Kot Momin, Motorway M3 from Samundri to Darkhana, and M4 from Gojra to Multan have been closed for traffic. Traffic entry is prohibited on Motorway M5 from Multan to Rohri.
In addition, traffic flow is affected on national highways due to low visibility, causing passengers difficulty.
Motorway Police says that drivers should use front and rear fog lights in their vehicles so that other cars can be seen better. Avoid unnecessary travel, and high speed, and maintain a proper distance from the vehicle in front.
On the other hand, the weather is cold in most parts of the country, and severe cold has been predicted in mountainous areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, and Galiyat. Clouds will also rain in Islamabad, Peshawar, Charsadda, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Karak, and Kohat.
Weather forecasters say that rain is expected in Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Noshki, Kalat and other areas.
