Three killed, over 1,000 injured during celebrations for upcoming fire festival in Iran
Tehran: Three people from the provinces of Tehran, Markazi and Alborz died, and nearly 1,030 others were injured during the celebrations of an ancient festival of fire ahead of the Iranian New Year, state media reported.

As per details, the festival known as ‘Chaharshanbeh Suri’ celebrated before the Iranian New Year, which starts on March 20. The celebrations caused causalities and many serious injuries.
Reportedly, most of the injured are men.
Every year, hundreds of people sustain injuries on ‘Chaharshanbeh Suri’ due to the use of fireworks in the celebrations.
Moreover, police officials in Iran arrested 25 norm-breakers in the capital in this regard.
