Pakistan grants 5G spectrum licences to three local telecom operators
PM notes the auction process was conducted with full transparency

Islamabad: Three telecom operators in Pakistan have been awarded 5G spectrum licences.
Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the auction, calling it a significant step in today’s era of rapid technological advancement.
He said the promotion of modern technology marks a milestone for industry, agriculture and the IT sector, adding that connectivity would be extended to every corner of the country, including rural areas.
The Prime Minister further noted that the auction process was conducted with full transparency.
He also congratulated the team on successfully resolving legal challenges related to 5G, acknowledging that significant legal hurdles had existed in the past and commending Azam Nazeer Tarar for his support.
