Three killed in Lahore's multi-storey hotel fire

Three people lost their lives and several others were injured in a fire incident at a multi-storey hotel, while more than 270 guests and staff members were safely rescued.

According to Rescue Punjab spokesperson Farooq Ahmed, a fire emergency call was received from the Indigo Hotel at 12:25 a.m. at the Rescue Command and Control Center. Search and rescue teams were immediately dispatched in response.

He stated that the operation involved 27 emergency vehicles of Rescue 1122, along with 80 personnel and officers.

The spokesperson further said that those injured in the incident were identified as Mubeen (37), Ali (18), Rashid (22), Rafiq (60), Adnan (21), Shahid (34), Muqaddas (20), Patras (40), and Shaheen Bibi (45).

The deceased were identified as Imran (30), Shehryar (25), and Riyaz (40).

He added that firefighter rescuer Muhammad Yousaf suddenly fell ill during the operation and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

According to the spokesperson, approximately 275 guests and staff present in the hotel were successfully evacuated. The plaza consists of 19 storeys, including three basement levels, is spread over an area of four kanals, and Basement One of the building has been severely affected by the fire.
