Islamabad (APP):Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday directed all relevant ministries and institutions to accelerate work on the construction of the Jinnah Medical Complex and Research Centre, ensuring its completion with most modern medical facilities under a comprehensive and coordinated strategy.
Chairing a high-level review meeting on the project’s progress, the prime minister emphasized that all administrative and technical challenges impeding the timely completion of the complex must be resolved through close inter-agency coordination, a Prime Minister’s Office news release said.
PM Shehbaz stressed that the project should reflect high standards of construction and modern healthcare provision. He also instructed that a subsidiary medical centre be established under the Jinnah Medical Complex to provide healthcare services to the local population ensuring ehanced access to the medical care facility.
He also called for engaging international medical experts where required to ensure the complex meets global standards of healthcare and research excellence.

It was further noted that third-party validation will be carried out in line with the Prime Minister’s directives to ensure transparency and quality assurance.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed that the Jinnah Medical Complex is a key initiative aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s healthcare infrastructure and research capacity. He underscored the importance of completing the project expeditiously for the benefit of the people.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Health Mustafa Kamal, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, and other senior officials.
