Flour from local mills (chakki) is being sold at Rs130 to Rs150 per kilogram


(Web Desk): In the smaller markets of Lahore, the price of a 20-kilogram flour bag has reached up to Rs2,000.
According to market sources, the official price of a 20-kg flour bag has been set at 1,810 rupees, yet it is being sold for Rs2,000.
Market sources also report that similarly, flour from local mills (chakki) is being sold at Rs130 to Rs150 per kilogram.
Meanwhile, in Quetta, a 20-kg flour bag is being sold for Rs2,300.
Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari stated in a press conference in Lahore today that the increase in wheat and flour prices will not be tolerated, and the official rates will be enforced at all costs. Action will be taken against shopkeepers who fail to display the official price list.
It is worth mentioning that just last week, the price of a 20-kg flour bag increased by Rs300.
