Punjabi comedy legend Jaswinder Singh Bhalla passes away at 65
Bhalla was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali after suffering a brain stroke, where he passed away on Friday morning


(Web Desk): Popular Indian Punjabi actor and comedian Jaswinder Singh Bhalla passed away at the age of 65 on Friday morning due to a brain stroke.
According to Indian media reports, the actor’s family confirmed his death, stating that he was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali after suffering a brain stroke, where he passed away on Friday morning.
Jaswinder Singh Bhalla’s last rites will be held on Saturday, August 23, at 12 PM at the Balongi Cremation Ground in Mohali, where a large number of family members, friends, and fans are expected to attend.
He is survived by his wife Parmdeep Bhalla, actor son Pukhraj Bhalla, and daughter Ashpreet Kaur.
Indian political leaders and film industry personalities have expressed deep sorrow over Bhalla’s passing and extended condolences to his family. His death marks the loss of a legendary artist in the Punjabi film industry who carved a unique identity for himself in the world of comedy.
It is worth noting that Jaswinder Singh Bhalla began his career in 1988 with the comedy album Chhankata 88. He played unforgettable roles in many popular Punjabi films, including Carry On Jatta, Bhaji in Problem, Manje Bistre, Sajjan Singh Rangroot, and Jatt & Juliet.
Though he never acted in Hindi films, he was immensely loved in the Punjabi film industry for his distinctive style and exceptional comic timing.
