Karachi power crisis: 100 feeders still down, protests erupt

(Web Desk): Power supply on 100 feeders in Karachi has still not been restored, leaving citizens distressed.

In Saddar and Jubilee Market, electricity has been suspended since 9 PM on Thursday, while in Azizabad Block 8, the outage began at 7 PM.

Residents of Model Colony, Sheet-1, and Muslim Housing Society Scheme 38 have been waiting for electricity since 7 PM on Tuesday.

In Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 9, residents protested against the power outage. Citizens demonstrated outside the K-Electric office to the beat of drums, stating that power in their area has been out for three days, and there is no water at home either.

According to a K-Electric spokesperson, work is ongoing to restore power on the 100 affected feeders. Out of a total of 2,100 feeders, electricity is currently being supplied through 2,000.
