Independence Day: Pakistani missions abroad hold special ceremonies

Islamabad: Pakistani missions abroad organised special ceremonies to celebrate the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan with renewed zeal and fervour.            

A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Pakistani embassy in Paris, where Ambassador Mumtaz Zahra Baloch raised the Pakistani flag to the tune of the national anthem in the presence of members of the diaspora, embassy officials, and Pakistani families, including a large number of children.

The colourful Independence Day program included national songs and a documentary. The guests also enjoyed traditional Pakistani food.

In Bahrain, a large number of Pakistanis participated in the vibrant and colourful event organised at the embassy in Manama.

The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by a screening of a documentary on the Marka-e-Haq campaign.

The Mission also organised a photo exhibition on Marka-e-Haq featuring photographs of equipment used during Operation Bunyan un Marsoos, including aircraft, missiles, and cybersecurity tools. It reflected the steadfast resolve of Pakistan's civil and military leadership during the operation.

Messages of the President and Prime Minister were also read out on the occasion. Leading Newspapers of Bahrain published special supplements in connection with the Independence Day of Pakistan.

Pakistani High Commission in Delhi also organised a ceremony to celebrate Pakistan's 79th Independence Day.

Pakistan's Charge d'Affaires in India, Saad Ahmed Warraich, hoisted the national flag at the Chancery Lawn of the High Commission. Messages from the President and Prime Minister were read out at the ceremony.

A special cake was also cut on the joyous occasion. Children clad in traditional attire presented a captivating performance depicting various aspects of the freedom movement.
