Given the ongoing emergency, the Chief Minister has directed that all available resources be utilized to save lives


Peshawar: On the instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the provincial government has immediately dispatched a small helicopter to Buner to rescue people stranded on rooftops of houses.
According to the spokesperson for the Chief Minister, the government’s larger helicopter, MI-17, has been sent to Bajaur for rescue operations. These are the only two helicopters available with the provincial government, both currently being used for rescue missions.
Given the ongoing emergency, the Chief Minister has directed that all available resources be utilized to save lives. He remains in constant contact with all relevant officials, divisional and district administrations in light of the current crisis.
The spokesperson added that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is personally monitoring the situation across the province and receiving regular reports from the administrations of affected districts.
The Chief Minister is also in contact with the Commissioner of Malakand and the Deputy Commissioner of Buner to ensure the safe evacuation of people trapped in the flash floods in Buner.
