Fine of more than Rs2mn has been imposed on 10 members


Lahore: A heavy fine has been imposed on 10 members of the Punjab Assembly for vandalism.
According to the notification, a fine of more than Rs2 million has been imposed on 10 members who broke the microphone in the assembly session.
The fined members include Javed Kausar, Asad Abbas, Muhammad Tanveer Aslam, Syed Rafat Mahmood, Muhammad Ismail, Shahbaz Ahmed, Imtiaz Mahmood, Khalid Zubair, Rana Aurangzeb, and Muhammad Ahsan.
The notification states that a fine of Rs203,550 has been imposed on each person for damaging government property.
According to the notification, a decision was made in the June 16 meeting based on video evidence and action will be taken against members who do not pay the fine within 7 days.
