DIG Operations orders sweep check of area with help of relevant departments

Lahore: Five people lost their lives while five others are reported to be in critical condition after a fire caused by a gas cylinder explosion.
According to rescue sources, a fire broke out in a shop on Ravi Road after a gas cylinder exploded, resulting in the deaths of five individuals due to severe burns. Upon receiving information, rescue teams promptly launched a response operation and transferred the bodies and injured to the hospital.
Five people who sustained serious injuries in the fire were shifted to the hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the DIG Operations expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the cylinder explosion and ordered a sweep check of the area with the help of relevant departments. He directed the police to remain on high alert and ensure strict surveillance across all areas. Illegal LPG points are to be shut down immediately.
