It has been decided to immediately lease four Airbus aircraft for ‘Air Punjab’


Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the ‘Air Punjab’ project.
A meeting was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz in which the project of the first provincial airline, ‘Air Punjab’, was presented.
It has been decided to immediately lease four Airbus aircraft for ‘Air Punjab’.
Maryam Nawaz has also directed arrangements to make ‘Air Punjab’ the best airline in the country.
The Lahore Yellow Line and Mass Transit Line Gujranwala projects were reviewed in the meeting, while instructions were given to complete the Jinnah Terminal Thokar Niaz Baig to Harbanspora Yellow Line project study by May 30.
A deadline of June 15 has been set for the project study of the Gujranwala Mass Transit Line.
A briefing was also given in the meeting about the e-taxi project.
In addition, the Lahore-Rawalpindi Bullet Train project was also approved in principle, and various options were also reviewed to run the fastest bullet train in collaboration with Pakistan Railways.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz assigned the task of collaboration with Pakistan Railways to Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and the option of public-private partnership for the bullet train project was also considered.
Maryam Nawaz also sought a plan for high-speed trains on six more routes in Punjab. High-speed trains will run from Lahore to Shahdara, Narowal, Raiwind, Kasur, and Pakpattan to Lodhran.
There will be a high-speed train route from Sheikhupura and Jaranwala to Shorkot to Jhang to Sargodha.
A high-speed train will be operated from Lala Musa to Sargodha via Malikwal, and a high-speed train route will be established from Faisalabad to Chak Jhumra and Shaheenabad.
