‘Arrested suspect used his 16-year-old daughter during the crimes in an attempt to avoid arrest’


(Web Desk): New Karachi police have arrested a father and daughter involved in street crimes and motorcycle snatching incidents.
The suspects, Bilal, and his biological daughter Shumaila, were found in possession of a weapon, a snatched motorcycle, and narcotics.
New Karachi SHO Faiz-ul-Hasan said that the father and daughter were apprehended with the help of CCTV footage. On April 14, they had snatched a motorcycle at gunpoint from a citizen named Nouman outside his house in Sector 11-L of New Karachi.
A case regarding the incident has been registered at New Karachi Police Station under FIR No. 214/2025. The suspect’s face can be clearly seen in the CCTV footage of the crime.
The SHO stated that the arrested suspect used his 16-year-old daughter during the crimes in an attempt to avoid arrest. He added that Bilal’s brother-in-law, Faheem, was also involved in the crime but is currently on the run. Efforts are being made to apprehend him.
According to the SHO, during the initial investigation, Bilal confessed to committing four crimes with the help of his daughter. This is Bilal's first arrest, while his absconding brother-in-law has a criminal history and several cases registered against him at various police stations.
