Forensic and circumstantial evidence indicate shooting took place inside woman's home

Karachi: The death of a pregnant woman in Karachi, initially thought to be the result of a robbery, has taken a new twist after her husband was arrested for allegedly providing false information.
The incident, which occurred in the Faqeer Goth area, was first reported as a fatal shooting during a robbery attempt. However, investigators have since found that the evidence contradicts this claim.
Police now say the woman was shot two days before the incident was reported and not during a robbery. Forensic and circumstantial evidence indicate the shooting took place inside the woman's home. The woman's husband, who initially stated that she died in a confrontation with robbers, is now in custody. He later confessed to having an argument with his wife before she was shot.
The husband initially told police that his wife shot herself during the dispute, but officers are skeptical of his version of events.
Authorities also revealed that the man misled investigators about the location of the shooting and attempted to destroy evidence. A weapon recovered from the house was found to be unlicensed. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not ruled out the possibility of homicide.
