India is playing a double game—on one hand, trying to negotiate with the Afghan Taliban and on the other hand is stockpiling weapons to be used against them.

According to sources, two Indian C-31 aircrafts that arrived in Afghanistan for evacuating the diplomatic staff were speciously full of weapons.
While sources assert that the provided arms are to be used by the Ashraf Ghani government against the Taliban.
Sources confirmed that that the two Indian C-31 jets unloaded a large number of weapons in Afghanistan.
On July 10, Indian aircraft flew to Kandahar carrying 40 tonnes of 122mm cannons while on July 11, another plane delivered 40 tonnes of ammunition to Kabul.
Indian diplomats, security officials evacuated
Around 50 diplomats and other staff members at the consulate in Afghanistan's Kandahar have been evacuated in view of the "intense fighting near Kandahar city", India has said.
"India is closely monitoring the evolving security situation in Afghanistan. The safety and security of our personnel is paramount," the foreign ministry has said in a statement.
"The Consulate General of India in Kandahar has not been closed. However, due to the intense fighting near Kandahar city, India-based personnel have been brought back for the time being. I want to emphasize that this is a purely temporary measure until the situation stabilizes. The Consulate continues to operate through our local staff members," added the statement by Indian External Affairs.
