The explosion happened inside Mellat Park, a vast and popular green space in the capital to the headquarters of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
There were no casualties reported, Iranian media said.
The deputy security chief for Tehran Province, Hamidreza Goudarzi stated, “There was only one explosion”.
