CM Punjab also expressed gratitude for Japan’s support during 2022 floods


Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has met with Japanese Ambassador Akama Tosu Shuichi.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on promoting bilateral relations, trade cooperation, and investment in various sectors. The two leaders agreed on the need to find new ways to increase bilateral economic cooperation. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also expressed gratitude for Japan’s support during the 2022 floods.
The Japanese ambassador extended an invitation to Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz to visit Japan, which she accepted. The Japanese ambassador also appreciated her development projects and public welfare initiatives, and Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif’s advancement of the public welfare agenda.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that Pakistan attaches importance to relations with Japan. There are deep friendly relations between the two countries. Japan has always supported Pakistan in difficult times, and she is grateful to the Japanese government and its people.
Maryam Nawaz further said that all possible facilities and protection will be provided to Japanese investors in Punjab, and she wants cooperation with Japan in the sectors of agriculture, minerals, IT, AI, robotics, and energy.
