K2: Search operation for Ali Sadpur and team continues for second consecutive day
Skardu: The Pakistan Army has launched another search operation on Sunday, for globally renowned Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpur and his two foreign companions John Snorri from Iceland and Juan Pablo Mohr from Chile .

As per details, two army helicopters with four local mountaineers and porters have departed from Skardu on the rescue mission following the better weather on K2.
The climbers had gone missing on Saturday after they successfully summited the world's second highest mountain, 8,611-metre K2 on Friday.
Earlier on Saturday, helicopters reportedly flew to a height of 7,000 meters in their attempt to locate the missing mountaineers but were unable to find whereabouts of the climbers.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on a telephonic conversation with his Iceland counterpart Gudlaugur Thór Thórdarson has discussed the issue of three missing climbers and assured that Pakistan will do every effort and will extend all possible support in this regard.
