The SHO Mohsin Ali stated that the incident took place around 3:00am


Gwadar: Unknown armed men entered a residential quarter and opened fire as a result of which seven people were killed early in the Thursday morning in Sarbandar, area of Gwadar Balochistan.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Gwadar police station Mohsin Ali, unknown persons opened fire on a residential quarter near Fish Harbor, as a result of which seven persons lost their lives while one was injured.
The SHO Mohsin Ali stated that the incident took place around 3:00am. All the dead and injured were living in a residential quarter and worked at a barber shop in Sarbandar.
According to SHO Gwadar police station, the dead and injured persons belong to Khanewal district of Punjab.
The police shifted the dead bodies and the injured to Gwadar Hospital, while the security forces surrounded the area and started action against the unknown accused.
Condemnation
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi strongly condemned the terrorist incident in Gwadar and expressed deep sorrow and regret over the murder seven in the heinous incident.
Mohsin Naqvi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolence with the families of the victims, and shared the grief of the bereaved families.
He said that they are standing with the bereaved families in the hour of sorrow. The beasts who play with the lives of innocent people do not deserve to be called human beings.
The minister added that they are determined for the complete elimination of the scourge of terrorism.
Balochistan Interior Minister Mir Zia Longo also condemned the killing of innocent laborers and called for a report.
He said that the killing of innocent laborers is open terrorism which will be dealt with strictly.
Interior Minister Balochistan added that the killing of innocent laborers is a cowardly act, the incident is being examined from all aspects, the involved terrorists will be brought to justice.
The spokesman of the provincial government said that an investigation into the tragic incident has been ordered, adding that they are in touch with the district administration, and the families of the martyred workers are being contacted.
Notably, on April 13, a total of 11 people, including nine from Punjab, were killed and five injured in the firing by unknown persons in Nushki district of Balochistan.
Habibullah Musa Khel, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Nushki District, said that on the night of April 12, 10 to 12 armed men blockaded the N-40 Taftan highway in Nushki near Sultan Chhalai and kept checking various vehicles. They checked the identity cards of the passengers and after the identification parade, nine passengers were kidnapped.
