Technology and technical based education will be promoted for knowledge based economy: PM
Malakand: Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to promote technical and technological education in order to guide the country towards knowledge based economy.

While addressing a ceremony at Malakand University today, PM stressed upon the need for education to uplift a society.
“Pakistan has always neglected the most important sectors including technology and technical education. Our government has tried to overcome this devastating situation of the country by focusing on these two sectors,” he said.
Imran Khan said that special programs are also being launched in the universities to get the students familiar with Islamic values and teachings of Holy Prophet.
“Al-Qadir University is being established with the same purpose whilst Namal University Mianwali will be made knowledge city,” he said.
PM further stated that his government is specifically focusing on industrial, agriculture and tourism sectors to create more employment opportunities for people.
“We will bring in new policy next week related to agriculture sector,” he said.
Imran Khan alleged previous leaders of stealing people’s money and said that he assumed the power in the most difficult economic situation.
“We have returned thirty five thousand billion rupees in loans over the last two and a half years,” he said.
Imran Khan said that his government has launched several mega projects such as Ravi City and Business district in Lahore for wealth creation.
“We have started work Mohmand and Basha dams. We are hopeful that these projects will help the country return its debt,” he said.
Imran Khan also inaugurated new blocks at Malakand University.
