Key clauses of the proposed U.S.-Iran Agreement revealed

Web Desk: Key provisions of the proposed peace agreement between the United States and Iran have come to light.

According to the international news agency Reuters, citing a senior Iranian official, Iran has agreed under the proposed deal that it will neither develop nor acquire nuclear weapons.

Reports indicate that the Iranian official stated that Iran would reduce its stockpile of highly enriched uranium to lower enrichment levels within the country. Further discussions on the implementation mechanism are expected to take place over the next 60 days.

The official added that the United States would ease sanctions on Iranian oil exports for a specified period, allowing Iran to sell oil and receive related revenues. Until a final agreement is reached, the U.S. would refrain from imposing new economic sanctions on Iran.

The official further stated that, under the proposed agreement, the United States would also release $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets.

According to the report, Iran would immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States would end its naval blockade.

It is worth noting that earlier, Al Arabiya News had claimed that Iran and the United States would sign a peace agreement during an online meeting today.
