As per details, SpaceX launched a prototype of its starship rocket miles into the air, then landed it successfully. But 10 minutes later, the rocket exploded as it was thrown into the air and crashed back to the ground.

The SN10 had taken off a little from Boca Chica, south Texas near the border with Mexico and next to the Gulf of Mexico.

The company hasn't stated the reason for the explosion so far.

The tests took place in a nearly deserted area leased by SpaceX in South Texas and the area is vast and empty enough that an explosion would not cause damage or fatalities.

The founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk has been developing the next-generation starship rocket for the purpose of going to Mars and it was the third straight flub involving the prototype of the starship rocket.

However, two prototypes (SN8 and SN9) culminated in crashes, in December and then in early February.

“A beautiful soft landing,” a SpaceX commentator said on the live broadcast of the test flight, although flames were coming out at the bottom.
