PM Shehbaz invites Japanese companies to invest in Pakistan's automobile industry
Japanese Ambassador to Pakistan who was accompanying the delegation, Wada Mitsuhiro informed the Prime Minister that a delegation of 20 well-known Japanese companies will visit Pakistan in July this year.
Islamabad: Japan on Tuesday expressed confidence in Pakistan's business friendly policies and has vowed to enhance its investment portfolio in the country.
The expression was made during meeting of a high level Japanese business delegation with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister underscored the need to further promote the decades-long trade and investment ties between two countries in different sectors.
Highlighting the vast potential for investment in the automobile industry of Pakistan, the Prime Minister invited Japanese companies to take full advantage of it with their best technology.
He said problems faced by Japanese industrialists and businessmen expanding their businesses in Pakistan will be resolved within a week through a committee formed for this purpose.
On the occasion, the Japanese delegation said the investment focused approach and measures taken by the incumbent government of Pakistan would enhance investors' confidence and increase the country's exports.

Chicken prices go down in Lahore
The latest reports say that initially soaring, the prices have now dropped, with chicken meat selling at Rs470 per kg after Rs78 per kg reduction
Lahore: Chicken prices in Lahore on Tuesday witnessed a decline amidst subdued demand, according to the Pakistan Poultry Association.
Initially soaring, the prices now dropped, with chicken meat selling at Rs470 per kg after Rs78 per kg reduction.
Over the past three weeks, the price of chicken had been a significant decrease, amounting to Rs227 per kg.
Besides it, the price of a chick dropped from Rs220 to Rs100.
Previously, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had pledged to crack down on those exploiting consumers in the chicken market.
In an effort to address the issue, stringent measures were initiated against poultry farmers and traders. Stock data has been requisitioned from these stakeholders to investigate the sudden price fluctuations.

Islamabad: Pakistan and Kazakhstan on Tuesday affirmed commitment to increase cooperation in IT and Telecom sector.
An understanding to this effect was reached during a meeting between Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin in Islamabad on Tuesday.
During meeting, the minister expressed Pakistan’s interest in strengthening ties with Kazakhstan in IT and telecom sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin affirmed his country’s commitment to increase cooperation with Pakistan in IT and Telecom sector, emphasizing that ties between two countries in this domain would be further strengthened.
