Railway officials have decided to run a container train between Islamabad, Tehran and Istanbul from March 4 under the ITC agreement between the three countries.
The distance between Turkey and Tehran-Iran border is 6,500 kilometres and the container train will reach the Iranian border in 12 days. The proposed route will also boost imports and exports to European countries.
