Jeddah: In a move, Saudi Arabian authorities have decided to remain with the system of online education in the schools across Kingdom.

According to the details, the latest development is seen as the government’s step to curb the spread of COVID-19.
As per the details, the Saudi Arabian Minister of Education Dr Hamad Al-Sheikh has announced that teaching in the educational institutions across Saudi territory will be done remotely until the end of the current academic year. The measure has been taken as part of the government’s efforts to limit the spread of the virus, he added.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi Minister said in a statement that the decision is an affirmation of the leadership’s interest in the safety of students and all education personnel. Further, this step would help authorities to cut the risk of people being infected with the deadly virus.
The decision comes as a high number of coronavirus cases are being reported in Saudi Arabia.
There are currently 2,455 active cases in the country. The Kingdom has dealt with 375,333 confirmed cases out of which 6,466 have died and 366,412 have recovered so far.
