WEB DESK -- The General Secretariat of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has condemned the heinous attacks carried out by the Houthi group against the city of Makkah and the Madinah region, as well as its ongoing aggression against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement, the General Secretariat said these attacks instill fear in innocent civilians, violate the sanctity of holy sites and mosques, and provoke the sentiments of Muslims around the world.
It affirmed that the acts committed by the Houthi terrorist militia against holy sites, mosques, and civilian infrastructure constitute terrorism that runs counter to Islamic values and to international norms, principles, and law.
It stressed that the violation of the sanctity of holy sites is an unacceptable and intolerable transgression that requires deterring the perpetrators and blocking the path of anyone who dares to infringe upon these sites.
The General Secretariat expressed its full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures to deter the aggressors, preserve the sanctity of holy sites and the lives of Muslims, and protect its security and sovereignty.
