This could be our best look yet at Samsung’s new wide foldable

Samsung is expected to unveil its next generation of foldables at a Galaxy Unpacked event next month, but now we know what they might look like, courtesy of some leaked images published by Android Headlines. Images shared by the publication include case designs for two new Galaxy Z Fold 8 models and the Galaxy Z Flip 8, each giving a good look at the phones inside the cases too. This could be our closest look so far at Samsung’s new wide-style foldable, following a leak of a purported dummy unit in May and a fresh photo of an apparent dummy unit from leaker Ice Universe this week. There are some similarities between all of these leaks: They show a wide, passport-style form factor, with a selfie camera built into the cover display, and a double-camera setup on the rear. Images of what appears to be that phone, along with the Z Flip 8, were also shared by Android Headlines, though these look similar to the current Flip 7 and Fold 7 models. That’s a little later than usual, but should mean that the wider Galaxy Z Fold 8 will launch before Apple releases its own wide-style iPhone foldable competitor, currently set to debut in September.
